Most of the people who approve marketing work do not live in a marketing tool, and never will. Sign-off has to reach them where they are, without turning every reviewer into a licence.

What it does

- Expires shared links, so a review link does not become a permanent public URL
- Keeps the approval trail attached to the work rather than in an email thread
In practice
The seat question is the practical one. A client stakeholder who approves one calendar a month is not going to be provisioned, trained and licensed, so any approval flow that requires it quietly reverts to screenshots in email.
Because the trail is attached to the calendar rather than to a thread, the question 'who signed off on this' has an answer six months later.
For agencies and studios this is the client-facing surface: the same month, presentable, without exposing the workspace behind it.

What this does not do
- A read-only link is read-only. Reviewers can view and comment; they cannot edit, schedule or publish.
- Approval here is a record, not a contract. It captures who said yes and when; it is not a legal signature product.
- Exports are point-in-time. A PDF sent last week does not update when the calendar changes.
